Description

The First National Dialogue Platform on Anticipatory Action in Ecuador will take place on April 26 in Quito, Ecuador. The 1st edition of the Dialogue Platform in Ecuador comes from the need to learn, discuss, and reflect on the role of organizations at the humanitarian, public, private, academic and community levels in the construction, training and implementation of anticipatory actions and their impact at the local and national levels.

The event’s agenda will have five approaches:

• Fundamentals of Anticipatory Actions (concepts, principles and strategies)
• Risk analysis (scientific evidence and criteria, community diagnoses).
• Implementation of anticipatory actions (community experiences, decision making tools, cooperation, and financing mechanisms).
• Anticipatory Action as a cross-cutting axis to other approaches (innovation-technology, health, education, inclusion), good practices, challenges and best practices, challenges, and opportunities.
• Roadmap proposal for the implementation of anticipatory action in the country.
