Yemen

Yemen’s population is at risk from numerous hazards. Cyclones, drought, earthquakes, floods and tsunamis all threaten people in different regions, while epidemics and health-related crises are another driver of the country’s high humanitarian needs. The impacts are often exacerbated by the ongoing conflict in the country, which makes all forms of humanitarian support challenging.  

Anticipatory action is already supporting at-risk communities for certain hazards. Given its risk profile, there is considerable potential for scaling up this approach in Yemen.
