Community Conversations

Community Conversations objectives
The Anticipation Hub Community Conversations foster ongoing connectivity and exchange among partners and the wider anticipatory action community — from global to local levels.
- Enable open, flexible and relevant discussions that reflect partners’ evolving priorities.
- Provide an engaging and inclusive space for dialogue, co-creation and mutual learning - moving beyond one-way knowledge dissemination.
- Foster connections between practitioners, scientists and policymakers across all levels.
- Promote peer-to-peer exchange, particularly with governments and national actors championing anticipatory action.
- Welcome and integrate new actors into the anticipatory action community.
Previous sessions are available on the Anticipation Hub YouTube channel.
Audience
- Anticipation Hub partners at global, regional and national levels.
- The wider community of anticipatory action practitioners and interested newcomers
Format & Organization
- Co-organized by the Anticipation Hub and a co-host (usually Hub partners).
- Each one-hour session focuses on a specific theme or emerging topic.
- Designed as an interactive space to exchange experiences, ideas and challenges - not just presentations.
- Co-hosts are encouraged to adapt the format to their needs, including panel discussions, breakout exchanges or open Q&A.
- Provide photos (with credits) and a ~150-word event description for the Hub’s event page.
- Confirm title, date and time early to enable timely promotion.
- Partners are encouraged to share materials through their own communication channels to boost visibility.
- Speaker details (name, organization, short bio, LinkedIn if available) should be shared for promotion
