Syrian Arab Republic

Drought, earthquakes and floods are the most significant natural hazards in the Syrian Arab Republic, while its people also face epidemics and other health-related issues. The impacts of these and other challenges are compounded by the country’s fragility, with the population still recovering from many years of war.  

Anticipatory action has considerable potential to help at-risk populations cope with the impacts of the country’s forecastable hazards.
