Hazards covered by anticipation

The most common natural hazards in South Africa are droughts, floods, severe storms and wildfires. Other risks include heat waves, lighting strikes and strong winds.

Anticipatory action offers a proven way to support at-risk people ahead of these hazards and organizations in South Africa are exploring how to establish this approach within the country.
