Hazards covered by anticipation

Cameroon has a diverse climate and terrain. The southern regions are generally wet and humid, with floods a risk; the north of the country, meanwhile, is hot and dry and at risk from drought. Disease outbreaks, landslides and volcanic eruptions are further threats. Instability in the Anglophone regions continue to drive displacement and sporadic conflict.

Anticipatory action offers a way to support those at risk from forecastable hazards and efforts to implement this approach are under way.
