Hazards covered by anticipation

  • Drought / dry spell

Angola is prone to a range of climate-related hazards, including droughts, floods and seasonal storms, all of which threaten people’s lives, livelihoods and food security. Climate change is projected to exacerbate both drought and flood risks.

Angola's limited coping capacity highlights the need for more anticipatory action in the country, to reduce the impacts of hazards and to strengthen people’s resilience.
