Togo is susceptible to hydrometeorological disasters, often being hit by droughts and floods. Disease outbreaks and epidemics are another prevalent risk in the country.
Togo was one of the first countries to pilot anticipatory action, through a forecast-based financing project in 2015 that tested this approach for floods.
