Hazards covered by anticipation
Climate change is set to exacerbate hazard risks in the Solomon Islands, for example through extended hot periods and more intense rainfall and storms. To address this, it is one of many Pacific Island countries looking to establish anticipatory action. The government has played an important role in kick-starting this process.
