Colombia is highly vulnerable to extreme climate events, including cyclones, droughts, floods and wildfires. Earthquakes also pose a threat. The county is also home to many displaced people, both internally displaced persons and refugees from other countries, notably Venezuela.
Efforts are under way to establish anticipatory action across Colombia and in 2024, it hosted 6th Regional Dialogue Platform in Latin America and the Caribbean on Anticipatory Action.
