Hazards covered by anticipation

  • Drought / dry spell

Cambodia is one of the most vulnerable countries to climate change in South-East Asia. Climate-related hazards include drought, extreme floods and severe storms, while landslide and mudslides also pose a risk to people. Coastal regions are also vulnerable to sea level rise and tropical storms.

Cambodia is one of the many countries in the region expanding its expertise in anticipatory action. In recent years, it has moved from pilot projects that focused on drought to those covering other hazards.
