Contribute to a mapping survey on anticipating El Niño in eastern Africa

Ahead of the forthcoming El Niño and its expected impacts, the Eastern Africa Regional Technical Working Group on Anticipatory Action (RTWGAA) is undertaking a rapid mapping exercise of preparedness and readiness activities across the region.

Organizations working on anticipatory action in eastern Africa can complete the mapping survey here. Please complete this by 9 September.

The RTWGAA will use the information collected to develop a comprehensive picture of current preparedness efforts, readiness activities and planned interventions across the region, as well as the remaining gaps. The aim is to ensure that regional efforts to anticipate the El Niño phenomenon are coordinated, and to strengthen advocacy, preparedness and anticipatory actions ahead of the coming October–November–December season.
