Hazards covered by anticipation
Morocco faces a range of hazards. Flooding is a widespread threat, while certain regions are at risk from drought, earthquakes, extreme temperatures, landslides and storms. Climate change, in the form of increased temperatures and changing rainfall patterns, is expected to exacerbate some of these hazards.
Anticipatory action offers a way to support at-risk communities, and efforts to establish this approach in the country are under way.
