Hazards covered by anticipation

Flooding is a major hazard in Germany, with several of its major rivers liable to periodic floods. Heat waves and wildfires are an increasing threat in the summer months.

Anticipatory action offers a way to reduce the impacts of these hazards and work is under way to establish a system to anticipate the impacts of floods.
