The designated safe centre (evacuation centre) on the Chrystler’s Farm Estate, Nuwara Elia District, is a pre-school that is normally used as the children of plantation workers. Since the project, communities now start the evacuation process based on an early  warning, rather than having to wait until a flood hits.
