Anticipatory action in 2022: a new report coming soon

In April 2023, the Anticipation Hub will publish a new report that captures the status of anticipatory action around the world. Provisionally titled Anticipatory Action in 2022: a Global Overview, this is the first in what will be a series of annual summaries for those working in this sector.

The report, which is being developed in collaboration with the Anticipatory Action Task Force, will provide practitioners, scientists, policy-makers and communities with data about  anticipatory action initiatives globally, for example which countries are working on which hazards. It will also provide cumulative facts and figures about the scale of this approach around the world, along with analysis of the trends, developments and gaps in this sector over the last 12 months.

The report will be launched during a session at Humanitarian Networks and Partnerships Week in Geneva, Switzerland. Donors and humanitarian actors will highlight some of the main themes emerging from the report and discuss their implications for those affected by forecastable hazards worldwide.

Registration for this event, which will take place online and in person, is open now.
