Albania is affected by hazards including earthquakes, floods, forest fires, heat waves and landslides. These affect agriculture and livelihoods, cause damage to critical infrastructure, and have impacts on people’s physical and mental health. Many of these are becoming more frequent, unpredictable and severe due to climate change.

Anticipatory action offers a way to reduce the impacts of these hazards and organizations in the country are working to establish this approach.
