Anticipatory action events at GPDRR 2025

The eighth session of the Global Platform (GP2025) will be organized and convened by the UN Office for Disaster Risk Reduction (UNDRR) from 2 to 6 June 2025 in Geneva, Switzerland. The theme of GP2025 is “Every Day Counts: Act for Resilience Today.” In addition, three cross-cutting themes will be woven throughout the agenda: (1) Managing current and future risks and uncertainties in a rapidly changing climate and global context; (2) Prioritizing gender equality, accessibility, and inclusion to leave no one behind; (3) Accelerating action for our collective sustainable future.

There will be both formal and informal programs, including high-level dialogues, side events, and learning labs. Additionally, the Ignite Stage provides a platform to showcase ideas and initiatives in disaster risk reduction.

Our calendar summarizes events from both the formal and informal programs, as well as the Ignite Stage, that cover or relate to anticipatory action below or in this booklet.
