Community conversation #34: When is an anticipatory action framework ‘active’ – and why does it matter?

Description

A growing number of anticipatory action frameworks are developed (using 'build' financing), but at a time when 'fuel' financing is becoming harder for many organizations to obtain. This situation raises several questions: How can organizations ensure that their frameworks are active, and therefore ready to have a tangible impact? Is having an 'inactive' framework an issue?

A study by CARE and a regional mapping exercise for the Asia-Pacific region shed new light on the challenges of keeping frameworks alive, which are faced by actors anticipating multiple hazards. This community conversation will discuss these challenges and explore ways to address them.
