Anticipatory Cash Webinar Series #3: Regional Focus on East Africa

Anticipatory action (AA) is a hot topic across the humanitarian sector, and the use of cash assistance as a key modality in AA means that it’s an area of increasing relevance to cash practitioners.

As understanding of and collaboration between anticipatory action and cash experts (and their respective coordination structure) remains variable, the newly launched Anticipatory Cash Working Group (AC-WG) under Anticipation Hub co-lead by the CALP Network, Cashcap and Anticipation Hub, is launching its webinar series.

The objective is to strengthen buy-in among stakeholders that the use of cash transfers in anticipatory action, across various contexts, is both possible and imperative in order to:

1. Meet basic needs and alleviate the suffering of populations prior to a crisis
2. Mobilise collaboration and coherence between cash and anticipatory action actors to improve the delivery of anticipatory cash
