2nd National Dialogue Platform on Anticipatory Action in Pakistan

Description

Pakistan's 2nd National Dialogue Platform on Anticipatory Action will take place from 11 to 12 May 2026 at the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) Pakistan in Islamabad. Building on the successes of the inaugural platform, this second edition responds to the need for diverse stakeholders, including government agencies, UN organizations, the Red Cross Red Crescent Movement, academia and the private sector, to exchange knowledge, best practices, and lessons learned.

It will provide an engaging space to:

• discuss the harmonization and institutionalization of #AnticipatoryAction within Pakistan’s #DRM framework
• advocate for its integration into national and provincial policies
• identify sustainable funding mechanisms to shift the humanitarian system from reaction to anticipation.
