Description
This webinar will be held in french.
The Anticipatory Cash Working Group invites you to join the next sessions in the Anticipatory Cash Webinar Series: an open learning space exploring how cash transfers can be used before crises hit. Following the first regional session in Asia-Pacific, this edition turns the spotlight on West and Central Africa, a region facing diverse climate challenges and evolving anticipatory action frameworks.
About the webinar
This regional webinar will explore how anticipatory cash is being used across West and Central Africa, with a focus on coordination between Anticipatory Action and Cash Working Groups, national frameworks, and country activations.
Country spotlights will include:
- Nigeria – case study on anticipatory cash activation
- DRC and Senegal – examples from ongoing responses and coordination efforts
The session will also feature a thematic spotlight on the WFP Anticipatory Cash Technical Guidance, recently translated into French, offering practical tools for practitioners and decision-makers.
Who is this for?
This webinar is open to anyone interested in anticipatory cash transfers — including government representatives, donors, UN agencies, Red Cross and Red Crescent members, and NGO practitioners.
If you’re working at the intersection of cash, climate, and crisis preparedness, this is for you.
The webinar will be held online via CALP’s Zoom platform. The recording will be made available afterwards on the CALP Network and Anticipation Hub websites.
