Description

The 9th Global Dialogue Platform on Anticipatory Humanitarian Action, which will be held virtually from the 7th to 9th of December 2021. This year’s event, entitled ‘Meeting the challenges of future crises: Protecting lives and livelihoods with anticipatory action,’ is hosted by the Anticipation Hub and co-organized by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the UN (FAO) and the UN World Food Programme (WFP), in partnership with the German Red Cross, the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC), the Red Cross Red Crescent Climate Centre (RCCC), the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (UN OCHA) and the Start Network.

We will launch the dialogue with a series of high-level plenary discussions and interactive sessions that will start us on our shared journey of learning and exchange. We will also feature a total of 34 parallel sessions, creating space for smaller thematic sessions on an impressive array of topics. It is our hope that those joining us from the east and west of our live studio in Rome will be able to participate in multiple sessions regardless of the time zone. Our detailed agenda can be found here.
