Management of Acute Malnutrition and Anticipatory Actions Protocols

In 2025, Action contre la Faim (ACF) developed and tested a rapid methodology with the support of its partner 'Swedish International Development Agency' (SIDA), aimed at integrating the Management of Acute Malnutrition (MAM) into Anticipatory Action (AA) protocols in Mali and Madagascar. This methodological note presents the operational approach, based on field experience, for integrating MAM components into an AA protocol focused on an external hazard (flood, drought, cyclone, man-made shock).
