The Benefits of Acting Early in Disasters: Effectiveness of Forecast-based-Finance versus Emergency Response: the case of floods in Uganda
Findings on development & implementation of Anticipatory Action study by the Ugandan Red Cross Society and IFRC. It was conducted in collaboration with the University of Hamburg, Germany, and URCS. This analysis presents the non-monetary and monetary implications of engaging in Anticipatory Action conducted in three districts in Uganda (i.e. Butaleja, Amuria, Obongi/Palorinya Refugee Settlement) and explores the implications of early actions on community, district & humanitarian organizations.
