Anticipatory Action: Clarifying the Concept

Public awareness of Anticipatory Action (AA) is growing, yet many questions remain about what it actually looks like in practice. Which activities qualify as AA? Is it just another term for preparedness? To clarify this, the Regional Technical Group on Anticipatory Action in Latin America and the Caribbean (GTAA LAC) has developed this brief to help practitioners distinguish AA from other concepts and to answer the most frequently asked questions.
