Implementing anticipatory actions in fragile, conflict, and migration contexts: A review of global lessons
In fragile and conflict-affected situations, where instability, food insecurity, displacement and climate shocks overlap, the urgent need for proactive strategies such as anticipatory action have never been more evident. However, implementing anticipatory action in these presents challenges, such as security risks, resource limitations and fragmented governance systems. This document draws on insights gained from four learning events (two regional and two global) facilitated by the Anticipatory Action Community of Practice in 2024, with an emphasis on the Global South.
