Anticipatory Action: Trainer Facilitation Guide for Asia Region

This Facilitator’s Guide, and the related training modules, have been collaboratively developed by the Asia Pacific Technical Working Group on Anticipatory Action (TWGAA).

The Training Package (Facilitator’s Guide, Training Modules and supporting resources) aims to set out the minimum standards for AA, which can be further tailored for the country or organisational
context. The training can be used by organisations conducting their own internal training but will ideally be rolled out collaboratively across a combination of organisations. This can be at national or
sub-national levels, for a wide range of stakeholders, including government.

Overall, the Training Package aims to:

  • Help participants gain practical knowledge and skills in relation to AA, enhancing their understanding.
  • Harmonise AA training within the region across agencies and government.
  • Lead to shared understanding, terminology and approaches for AA.
  • Contribute to institutional integration of AA into national systems.
  • Facilitate networking and cross-learning between organisations based on their experiences.

You can find all training modules on the Asia Pacific Technical Working Group on Anticipatory Action page.
