CERF Allocation: Somalia - Drought 2021

This briefing provides financing details for USD $20,001,256 allocated to drought rapid response as part of the anticipatory action framework. A brief overview of the humanitarian situation is provided, including activation triggers. This funding was intended to reach 661,166 people, with response involving seven UN agencies and their 45 implementing partners. CERF’s strategic added value included fast delivery of assistance made possibly through the timely release of funds and to improve coordination between UN agencies, implementing partners, and line ministries.
