Informe de la 1ª Plataforma de Diálogo Regional en América Latina y el Caribe sobre Preparación Basada en Pronósticos

La 1ª Plataforma de Diálogo Regional en Latinoamérica y el Caribe (LAC), se realizó del 6 al 7 de junio de 2018, con la participación de actores humanitarios, científicos y gobiernos interesados en FbF, pero también representantes de las oficinas centrales de la FICR, CRA, Centro del Clima y PMA.

La agenda del evento promovió la importancia de los mecanismos financieros anticipatorios y el uso de pronósticos para una acción humanitarian bien informada. Además, dio a conocer la ampliación de diferentes iniciativas de acción anticipatoria en la región.

Report from the 1st Regional Dialogue Platform in Latin America and the Caribbean on Forecast-Based Preparedness

The 1st Regional Dialogue Platform in Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC), was held from June 6 to 7, 2018, with the participation of humanitarian actors, scientists and governments interested in FbF, but also representatives of the IFRC headquarters , the GRC, the Climate Center and the WFP.

The event's agenda promoted the importance of anticipatory financial mechanisms and the use of forecasts for well-informed humanitarian action. In addition, it highlighted the escalating of different initiatives for anticipatory action in the region.
