3rd Regional Dialogue Platform on Anticipation and Early Action in Latin America and the Caribbean

We are pleased to announce that registration is open for our 3rd Regional Dialogue Platform on June 2-4, 2021. 

The Dialogue Platforms are key spaces for analysis, discussion and learning about disasters and crisis Anticipation in the region. The Third Dialogue Platform in Latin America and the Caribbean will be no exception. About 40 virtual sessions will be held from June 2-4 to promote the importance of Anticipatory Action and identify opportunities for its implementation. The event will gather humanitarian actors, institutions that integrate national risk management systems, international organizations, hydrometeorological and geophysical institutes, academia, civil society organizations and other organizations with initiatives framed in Anticipatory Action and resilience in Latin America and the Caribbean. The sessions scheduled for the event will feature high-level presenters on topics such as: "Anticipation without limits: scaling beyond climate", "Anticipatory Action and entrepreneurship: an unlikely combination?", "How has social protection been prepared in Forecast-Based Financing (FbF) and cash transfers?", among others.

Inscripciones abiertas para la 3ª Plataforma de Diálogo en Latinoamérica y el Caribe sobre Anticipación

Las Plataformas de Diálogo son un espacio decisivo para el análisis, discusión y aprendizaje en materia de Anticipación ante desastres y crisis en la región. La Tercera Plataforma de Diálogo en Latinoamérica y el Caribe no será la excepción. Alrededor de 40 sesiones virtuales se realizarán del 2 al 4 de junio para promover la importancia de la Acción Anticipatoria e identificar oportunidades para su implementación. El evento está dirigido a actores humanitarios en la región, instituciones que integran sistemas nacionales de gestión de riesgos, organismos internacionales, institutos hidrometeorológicos y geofísicos, academia, organizaciones de la sociedad civil y otras organizaciones con iniciativas enmarcadas en la acción anticipatoria y la resiliencia en Latinoamérica y el Caribe. Las sesiones programadas para el evento contarán con presentadores y presentadoras de alto nivel sobre temáticas como: “Anticipación sin límites: ampliando más allá del clima”, “Acción Anticipatoria y emprendimiento: ¿una combinación improbable?”, “¿Cómo se ha preparado la protección social en la Acción basada en Pronósticos (FbF) y las transferencias de efectivo?”, entre otras.
