Simulation Exercise Forecast Based Early Actions-Nepal

FbA implemented since 2018 by NRCS/DRC in Nepal. Since then, no triggers have been reached but many lessons learned were drawn and compiled in a Feasibility Study early 2019.A first of its kind organized in Nepal by the Red Cross Movement. A mix of table top and field-based activities aimed to test: Relevance of selected Early Actions (evacuation, distribution of Ready to Eat Food, distribution of tarpaulins, waterproof bag etc) Selection of community/identification of beneficiaries (500 HHs) Coordination mechanisms with District Emergency Operation Center/ Municipality/Community/Other stakeholders Transportation using alternate routes Reconfirmation and checking of evacuation sites
