Demystifying compounding and cascading hazards in anticipatory action: new approaches to mitigating food insecurity
At the 12th Global Dialogue Platform in October 2024, practitioners came together to explore new approaches that better consider compounding and cascading hazards, with a focus on mitigating adverse impacts on food insecurity and malnutrition. This paper summarizes the discussions and practical steps identified from the session, alongside ongoing challenges in taking a more multi-hazard approach to anticipatory action.
