Welthungerhilfe Kenya - Drought Analysis and Humanitarian Impacts Inventory of Forecast Models Final Report

This report was commissioned by Welthungerhilfe in line with the aim of developing and establishing a Forecast-based Action approach to address imminent risks of food insecurity implemented by Welthungerhilfe in Kenya. The implementation of this approach calls for a clear understanding of the drought hazard risk in Kenya and the resulting humanitarian impact. Considering the predictive aspect of the FbA approach in anticipating humanitarian action, there is need for a comprehensive understanding of the various drought forecasting models that have been developed and are used by various stakeholders in drought management in Kenya
