Anticipatory Actions in the Kyrgyz Republic

Climate change is a major threat to food security in the Kyrgyz Republic. WFP's anticipatory actions projects are dedicated to preventing and mitigating the impacts of extreme weather on the food security and nutrition of highly vulnerable communities. This initiative involves strengthening national early warning capabilities, linking systems to reach scale, and sustainable financing. By proactively addressing these elements, the project aims to create a resilient framework that safeguards vulnerable populations from the adverse effects of climate-related challenges.
