A feasibility study exploring the potential of Anticipatory Action in Iraq
This feasibility study is an entry point for conversations on Anticipatory Action (AA) within the Red Crescent National Society in Iraq. It was led by the Red Cross Red Crescent Climate Centre and the Iraqi Red Crescent Society (IRCS) with support from the Danish Red Cross and contributing partners, the Norwegian Red Cross and the German Red Cross. The aim of this study is to provide IRCS (and partners) with a well-researched analysis of the feasibility of developing a nationally led AA programme in Iraq, taking into consideration existing priority hazards, associated risks, available forecasts and National Society (NS) capacity.
