New report on anticipatory action in 2023 to be launched at Humanitarian Networks and Partnerships Week

The Anticipation Hub will launch its new report, Anticipatory Action in 2023: A Global Overview, at Humanitarian Networks and Partnerships Week in Geneva, Switzerland. This is the second report in a series, following the overview of anticipatory action in 2022.

The report compiles information on anticipatory action frameworks and activations around the world, drawing on inputs from a range of humanitarian organizations, NGOs and others active in this sector. It will also provide a brief review of some of the themes that saw significant developments in 2023, as well as providing recommendations on the next steps to expand anticipatory action in the coming years.

The launch will take place on 7 May 2024, at 11:00 (GMT+1) as a face-to-face session in Geneva. Registration is open via the Humanitarian Networks and Partnerships Week website

Following this, the Anticipation Hub will host an online community conversation in June, at which the wider community will be invited to share their reflections on the report and its headline findings. Registration for this event, which will take place on 4 June at 13:00 (GMT+1), is open now.
