Scaling Up Anticipatory Actions for Food Security in Kenya

The overall goal of the project is to strengthen national capacities for anticipatory action through establishing systems for forecast-based financing. The initiative will officially start in 2021.

Anticipation in practice: Project description

WFP Kenya is embarking on a programme to scale up anticipatory action for food  security. The project involve building on existing FbF work and forums to further assess and strengthen the capacity needs of national and local actors and develop thresholds, and triggers and Standard Operating Procedures to link early warning to early financing and action, including action plans and M&E frameworks.
