GRiF Technical Talks is a virtual knowledge and information sharing series on Global Risk Financing Facility (GRiF). Join this event for a discussion on gender and disaster risk financing.
Webinar #5 will feature women working in risk finance, as well as a panel discussion with gender experts.
The event will focus a series of lightening presentations on financial instruments focused on climate shocks, disasters, and how gender considerations can be integrated in these – all made by World Bank project leaders. Following the presentation, there will be a panel discussion with women leaders from the development, humanitarian, and private sectors – to talk about how different actors within the Climate and Disaster Risk Finance space are thinking about gender considerations within their sectors. The event will feature a Learning Brief to capture and share knowledge generated from the webinar
Ms. Kara Siahaan, Head of the Anticipation Hub will be speaking at the event about anticipatory action and gender.
