Description

The Understanding Risk Global Forum 2022 (UR22), which takes place from 28 November to 2 December 2022, is gearing up to be a great event - a creative environment in which to discuss the latest research, innovations and emerging ideas in disaster risk management. This year's theme, 'Riding the waves of risk', focuses on climate and disaster risks in a multi-hazard world.

UR22 will be a hybrid event, with the main location in Florianopolis, Brazil (in person for 500-700 people), plus smaller in-person satellite hubs in other continents, and a virtual participation option for all. The main location provides an exceptional opportunity for the world to learn from Brazil and vice versa, and to strengthen the sustainable development agenda, moving from understanding risk to action on disaster resilience.
