Description

The National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority (NDRRMA) is set to host the Third National Dialogue on Anticipatory Action on 9-10 May 2024 in Kathmandu, Nepal. This conference will bring together participants from diverse facets of disaster management to set the direction for AA in Nepal. The theme for this year is 'Towards a National Framework for Anticipatory Action".

The Third National Dialogue on AA builds upon the successes of the first (2022) and second (2023) dialogues. Nepal hosted the Seventh
Asia-Pacific Dialogue Platform in Kathmandu, Nepal in June 2023, and participated at the Global Dialogue Platform held in Berlin,
Germany in October 2023. At the second dialogue, NDRRMA expressed commitment towards institutionalizing AA within the broader
disaster risk reduction and management. The third dialogue will initiate a process to develop a National Framework for AA.
