Description

The Science for Humanitarian Emergencies and Resilience (SHEAR) programme, funded by FCDO and NERC, has been working to support improved disaster resilience and humanitarian response since 2016, with projects conducting innovative research to improve risk assessment, preparedness, early action, and resilience to natural hazards.

This is the final year of the programme, and SHEAR is delighted to be able to attend EGU22 where they will be sharing key outcomes and learning on a range of topics of interest to the Anticipation Hub community, including (but not limited to):

  • Landslide early warning
  • Forecast based early action
  • Flood preparedness, monitoring, and forecasting
  • Impact-based forecasting
  • Communicating risk information

You can find details of all SHEAR presentations on their website. Please do just get in touch with info@shear.org.uk for any more information.
