High-level Meeting at Expo 2020 Dubai: Moving from climate crisis response to risk management – space technologies for anticipatory humanitarian action

Climate-driven disasters are occurring at greater frequency and with greater intensity than ever before. Fortunately, we are now able to predict many of these events before they strike. We can use the evidence of risk to respond in advance of a crisis. we can take anticipatory humanitarian action.

Join this high-level event "moving from climate crisis response to risk management – space technologies for anticipatory humanitarian action" during Space Week at Dubai Expo 2020 to discuss the human and economic cost of mounting climate extremes, the essentiality of acting early to save lives, improve recovery, build resilience and maximize the impact of limited funding, and the transformational potential of innovative tools and space technologies.
