Description

Communities in conflict-affected settings are among those most at risk from disasters. Increasing attention to climate impacts in fragile and conflict-affected areas and the desire to s

cale up anticipatory action to such settings have elevated conflict from an emerging topic to a priority item on the anticipation action agenda. A new briefing by the Anticipation Hub’s Anticipatory Action in Conflict Practitioners' Group reviews the recent progress on anticipatory action in and for conflict-affected settings. This Community Conversation will further elaborate lessons learned on anticipatory action and conflict and explore what is next on the agenda, from anticipatory action programming in complex multi-risk environments to the anticipation of conflict itself.
