European Humanitarian Forum
The European Humanitarian Forum (EHF) will gather policy makers, humanitarian partners and other stakeholders, for a more sustained dialogue on humanitarian policy and strategy.
The Anticipation Hub together with DG ECHO, France and VOICE organized a preparatory European Humanitarian Forum webinar “Tackling the humanitarian consequences of climate change: Scaling up anticipatory action” attended by around 200 participants on December 14th 2021. You can read more here.

UN Climate Change Conference of Parties
The UK hosted the 26th UN Climate Change Conference of Parties (COP26) in Glasgow, the UK. The COP26 summit brought parties together to accelerate action towards the goals of the Paris Agreement and the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change.

High-level Humanitarian Event on Anticipatory Action
The United Nations and the Governments of Germany and the United Kingdom convened a high-level event to advance anticipatory action and galvanize a collective push to act ahead of crises. This high-level event showcased compelling examples of this anticipatory approach and generated signals of support to scale action. Leaders from Governments, international financial institutions, the United Nations and civil society came together to demonstrate that the world is committed to act ahead of predictable crises.

ECOSOC Humanitarian Affairs Segment
The Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) Humanitarian Affairs Segment (HAS) is a platform for discussing the activities and issues related to strengthening the coordination and effectiveness of the humanitarian assistance of the United Nations. The HAS enables Member States, the United Nations system, development actors, the private sector and other humanitarian partners to discuss current and emerging humanitarian challenges and priority themes and share experiences and lessons learned.

G7 Summit
The UK took on the Presidency of the G7 group of nations in 2021. The participants at the 47th G7 Summit in Cornwall in the UK, included the leaders of the seven G7 member states as well as representatives of the European Union.

Humanitarian Networks and Partnerships Week (HNPW)
The Humanitarian Networks and Partnerships Weeks (HNPW) is the annual event of the Leading Edge Programme (LEP). The LEP is a year-round collaborative platform for humanitarian expert networks and partnerships with the aim of developing sustainable solutions to recurring, cross-cutting issues in emergency preparedness and response. Every year, the HNPW brings together more than 2000 experts in crisis preparedness and response from over 350 organizations and countries.
